On Sunday the 13th of February, the Super Bowl is taking place. This major sporting event is the annual finale of the NFL - the American football league. Despite being an American league, the Super Bowl is one of the biggest single-day sporting events in the world and the show that surrounds the event is dramatic and big. It is therefore not only in the USA that the Super Bowl is a big event. In Denmark, many people also follow the event with great excitement, while enjoying a classic American snack menu, consisting of delicious spareribs and hot wings ad libitum etc.
We also want to take part in the celebration of the Super Bowl! And what better way than to watch a great football movie? Breaking Back! is about 35-year-old Pat Hodges who is forced to travel back to his small hometown in the country. Here, his old schoolmates want his help to end The Turkey Bowl - a football match that was canceled 15 years earlier due to snow. Hodges desperately tries to escape the crazy inventions of his friends, but instead becomes more and more cluttered into the usual drama of his hometown.
Breaking Back! is full of fun and trouble and serves as a good example of how NOT to win the Super Bowl. Break out the spareribs, fries and Budweiser and warm up to the Super Bowl with a good movie…
